breakfast so I did not think she would
deliver that day. When I went into the
bedroom at noon I found her in her crate
with 5 puppies. I moved Mom and babes
into the nursery where she had the
remaining puppies. The last pup was born at
1:45pm. Khaleesi and pups are doing well.
There are 2 girls and 5 boys in the litter.
1 Week Update
At the age of 1 week, the pups are all doing
very well and gaining weight nicely. The
puppies do not open their eyes until the age
of 2 weeks. Their ears do not open until they
are 3 weeks. Their sense of smell is how
they explore their world in the beginning. I
begin holding and massaging the puppies
from day 1 and allowing them to smell my
breath and be nestled against my chest.
2 Weeks - Update
The puppies all are growing very nicely.
Everyone eyes were open on their 2 week
birthday. Everyone is used to being held
now and snuggles contentedly against me
after their daily weight check.
3 Weeks - Update
The puppies are doing very well. Their ears
open at 3 weeks so they are hearing sounds
for the first time now. They have started
sitting up and taking a few steps. This
coming week they will start walking more
and playing with their litter-mates.
4 Weeks - Update
The puppies moved out of the nursery into a
playpen crate. Mom is still with them most
of the time but is coming out for short
periods. They began eating solid food and
are enjoying it very much. They had their
first experience on the groom table, getting
their face and feet shaved and having their

very sharp but Khaleesi is still allowing
them to nurse a couple of times each day.
They are received their 1st bath and blow dry
along with a second grooming of face and
6 Weeks - Update
The pups went to the vet for their 1st exam
and puppy shot. They enjoyed their outing
and everyone handled the shot very well.
Outside training will begin now, with the
pups going out several times daily. They
continue to sleep together overnight in their
playpen crate until their 7 week birthday.
For naps and meals, they are enjoying their
own space in individual crates.
7 Weeks - Update
The pups began going "outside potty" several
times a day. They have gotten use to their
individual crates for naps and meals and
settle down without a lot of fussing.
Overnight crate training will begin this
