What can I expect from a Sonne Standard Puppy?
Our puppies are all born and raised in our home. They are vet-checked
and are up-to-date on vaccinations when they join their families. We begin
interacting with them from Day 1 so that they are very people-oriented
pups. It has been found that pups who are stimulated from Day 1 learn
Puppies start eating some solid food at four weeks. Our puppies start crate
training for naps and over-nights when they are six weeks old. We begin
outside training at 5-6 weeks. We begin placing our puppies in their
forever homes when they reach 8 weeks of age for those families who
desire the early bonding experience with their new family member. For
families who prefer more training, puppies are welcome to stay through
until the age of 12 weeks. Some move into Service/Therapy dog families.
Others are ready for those who prefer to bring a more mature, trained
puppy into their home. We strive to raise healthy, happy and balanced
puppies who are ready to meet their destiny and bring love to their families
and in return to themselves.
Puppies are vet checked at 7 weeks and receive their first set of puppy
shots. We de-worm the puppies at 3, 5 & 7 weeks. We take pictures of each
puppy frequently so their families can watch them grow. For families who
pick their puppies at an early age, we start using your name right away. We
use temporary names for the remaining puppies - sometimes families keep
the name, and other times, they have a name that is special to them.
I live far away. Can I still adopt one of your puppies?
We prefer that families pick-up their puppy. However, we know that is not
always possible. Puppies who join their families between the age of 8-12
weeks are small enough to fly in-cabin with a family member. We are 10
minutes from the Canton/Akron Airport. We are an hour away from the
Cleveland Airport. We can meet families at either airport. Some families
fly in and spend an evening so they can pick-up their puppy from our
