Parents of this litter are Piper and Charlie. This is Piper’s first litter. They have been DNA tested and are clear for genetic diseases. Piper weighs 47 lbs. Charlie weighs 45 lbs.

The puppies began arriving at 2:51 am on April 23rd. Piper delivered 2 girls and 4 boys. All the puppies are gaining weight nicely. Piper is an excellent first-time mother. She is eating and drinking well and is providing plenty of milk for all the puppies.

The puppies eyes opened on their 2-week birthday. Piper continues to be a loving, attentive mother. The pups are all eating well and growing on schedule.

The puppies ears opened at the age of 3-weeks. They have begun to sit up and stand. This week they will start taking a few steps. Piper and the babes moved out of the nursery into a playpen crate in the family room.

The puppies received their first bath and blow dry. Their faces and feet were shaved. Everyone handled it very well. They have now begun eating solid food while continuing to nurse. Piper is still sleeping with them in the playpen crate.

The puppies are doing very well with solid food. They have been eating out of a group puppy bowl. This week they will transition to individual bowls in their individual crate. Daytime naps will be taken in their individual crates. They will continue to sleep overnight together in the playpen crate. The pups are enjoying playtime outside the playpen for short periods of time.
