Willow delivered her puppies on March 16th. There are two girls in the litter. Suki arrived at 8:18 am. Shelby joined her 11 hours later at 7:32 pm. Willow is doing great after the long labor; she is eating & drinking well. The girls are getting plenty of milk and will put on weight faster than pups in a larger litter. Willow is a typical mother; she is loving, attentive & protective.

The girls’ eyes opened early, 3 days before their 2-week birthday. They are putting on weight rapidly as is expected in a small litter. Next week, their ears will open and they will start hearing sounds. They are now use to the daily human touch and quickly snuggle up to my chest as I hold them.

The girls ears opened early just as their eyes did. They are now hearing sounds and beginning to use their voice. They have begun to sit-up and will take a few halting steps by the end of the week. Willow continues to be a devoted mother, rushing back to them after going outside.

The girls are now standing and walking. They will come to me when in the nursery to play with them while their Mom goes outside. They moved out of the nursery into my office and are now in a playpen crate with Willow. They have begun eating solid food and will begin the weaing process .
